Some people have been getting a little excited over in Seattle this week, Facebook’s Zuckerberg has been whipping people into a frenzy regarding an “Awesome Announcement” next week… Well, what is it then????
The rumour is that Facebook is going into partnership with Skype to deliver an in-browser chat and video service. On first glance you might think so what!? Well, consider the plethora of cloud based computers and tablets that are coming out and that many of them don’t have a Skype Application available to them. So, by making Skype available from within a browser you suddenly enable all these devices! A perfect example being Google’s Chromebook, it doesn’t have local applications so this is a great addition for it.
It also brings some rare and positive news for Microsoft, they recently bought Skype and have a large shareholding in Facebook.
